Then, he threw me out of the store, and told me not to ever come back.

    3. Why did you throw me out of your store when clearly you were in the wrong?

Conclusion - stay away from this store. Its owners cannot be trusted with a leather belt.

    2. Didn't you realize the limitations of your 'machine' when you first looked at the job?

YES, it is possible to find someone to help you with your shoe choices in this day and age. If you care about quality of service and having people who actually understand shoes, walking (gate) and what is really important about your comfort, come here. 1. Why did you tell me you were going to sew on a leather patch, when you had no intention or ability to do so?
  • Isla

But when I picked up the belt, he presented me with a totally botched job. He had smeared glue inside, and the dried glue was all over the silver buckle. He had not used a leather patch, only glue. He lied to me, telling me there was a new leather bit inside. There was not. He lied to me during the original negotiation. When I asked why he carried out the work in a totally different manner from what we had discussed, he lied to me again, telling me that he would 'break his machine' if he attempted to sew the leather.

I dropped off a pair of dark grey nubuck boots for reheeling a week ago. My girlfriend picked them up on Saturday. They had been ruined and the owner was quite rude and insulting to my girlfriend. For some reason he had covered the nubuck leather with a heavy layer of shiny black polish that marked my hands and clothing when I tried to put the boots on. Nubuck has a soft nap and is not shiny- I paid a premium to get it rather than standard black patent leather. I am very disappointed that my boots are ruined and disgusted that he was so rude to my girlfriend.

Don't get anything repaired here, ever! I brought an expensive, but aged brown leather belt which had a tear. The repairman told me he would take it apart, and sew on a new patch of leather, which we picked out together.
